A project like this cannot be done by one person alone. At this moment, the following persons are working on NEWSFLOWS:

 

Damian Trilling is the Principal Investigator and main supervisor of the PhD candidates.

Zilin Lin is a PhD candidate working on the sub-project “Feedback loops in the interplay of manual news sharing and algorithmic recommendations” (WP1).

Mónika Simon is a PhD candidate working on sub-project “Feedback loops in cross-domain flows” (WP2).

Rupert Kiddle is a PhD candidate working on the sub-project ” Feedback loops and individual-level effects” (WP3).

Susan Vermeer is co-supervisor of Zilin Lin, Anne Kroon is co-supervisor of Mónika Simon, and Kasper Welbers is co-supervisor of both Zilin and Monika.

Roeland Dubel is a Research Master’s student of communication science at The University of Amsterdam. He works as a student assistant for general support tasks.

Eoghan O’Neill is a Research Master’s student of communication science at The University of Amsterdam. He works as a student assistant for general support tasks.

 

NEWSFLOWS is hosted at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and part of the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) and the Program Group Political Communication & Journalism (PCJ). All of our members are part of the Computational Communication Science Lab Amsterdam (ccs.amsterdam), in which researchers from both universities in Amsterdam, the Vrije Universiteit (VU) and the Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA) collaborate on and exchange ideas about computational communication science projects.
